Local Area Agreement - The primary objective of the LAA is to deliver better outcomes for local people. This is underpinned by improved local partnership working, improved relations with central government and better use of resources.
Local Area Renewal - The national Neighbourhood Renewal programme aimed to improve outcomes in the most deprived communities so that no one is seriously disadvantaged by where they live. Local Area Renewal is Westminster’s response to this.
Westminster Works - Westminster's new approach to tackling unemployment in the most disadvantaged areas in the City.
Family Recovery - Westminster's partnership-based approach to tackling social breakdown and helping families who strruggle in the job market and at school.
Health Inequalities - Westminster suffers from marked health inequalities - there are gaps between the healthiest and least healthy wards of 12.7 and 12.6 years for men and women respectively. In order to to tackle this issue the WCP has developed a strategy to tackle health inequalities.
