David Hawker has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive for People Services and Director of Children’s Services. David will take over from Julie Jones as chair of the CYPSP network from October.

David, 53, said of his appointment at Westminster: "I feel privileged to be joining one of the best performing local authorities in the country at a very exciting time in its development.

"Westminster is at the centre of the nation’s life, and I want to help make it one of the best places in the country for people to live."
