Title

Stroke & Major Trauma Consultation

Body

NHS Westminster is hosting a full day’s roadshow at St Mary’s Hospital on Friday 24 April as part of the London-wide stroke and major trauma consultation from ‘Healthcare for London’ which began on 30th January.  The options being consulted on are of particular importance to NHS Westminster because our major acute provider – Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust - is being recommended to host both a major trauma centre at its St Mary’s Hospital site in Paddington and a hyper acute stroke unit at its Charing Cross Hospital site.  Under the proposals, all Londoners will be no more than 30 minutes from a specialist stroke unit and no more than 45 minutes from a major trauma centre.
